In 2022, Joel co-wrote, co-directed, and produced an independent production of A Campfire Story at Manly Dam. In 2025, he directed and produced another season of A Campfire Story for the Sydney Fringe Festival. Joel was able to secure funding for this season through Creative Australia’s Match Lab program. He also secured sponsorships from Redhead Matches, Cloud Theory Marshmallows, and the Four Seasons Garden Centre.\nOutside of A Campfire Story, Joel directed Monologue Roulette for the Old Fitz Theatre’s 2024 season. He’s also written for the ABC, The Guardian, BuzzFeed, Going Down Swinging, Pedestrian, and VICE, amongst other publications.\nDisapol Savetsila # Disapol Savetsila is a theatremaker who’s been a member of Belvoir St Theatre’s Emerging Writers Program, Australian Theatre for Young People\u0026rsquo;s Fresh Ink Program, and Contemporary Asian Australian Performance\u0026rsquo;s Lotus Playwriting Program. In 2017, his first feature-length play, Australian Graffiti, was staged by Sydney Theatre Company.\nCurrently living in Bathurst, Disapol writes and produces regional theatre productions. His latest work, Ama and Nana, received a staged reading in 2024 and then a creative development in 2025. These developments were supported by Create NSW and the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre.\nRocco Forrester-Sach # Rocco Forrester-Sach was the Storyteller in the 2022 and 2025 seasons of A Campfire Story. He’s also performed in Flightpath Theatre’s Teenage Dick, the Sydney Opera House’s The City, and Gibber’s Smashed. In 2024, Rocco was the lead role in Lysander Films’ Black Prince.\nLana Morgan # Lana Morgan is the captivating actor who brought Jane MacKilgray to life in the 2022 and 2025 seasons of A Campfire Story. She’s also performed in Brand X’s Room 108, The Hub Studio and Rue de la Rocket’s Motherlode, and Australia’s first public reading of Lachlan Philpott’s Promiscuous Cities. In 2024, Lana starred in Flight Path Theatre’s Bloody Wedding.\nSimon Arthur # Simon was Benji MacKilgray in the 2022 and 2025 seasons of A Campfire Story. Simon’s also starred in Monologue Roulette and numerous Sydney Film School productions. He’s currently writing and producing his first short film, The Reading.\nAngela Johnston # Angela was Claire MacKilgray in the 2025 season of A Campfire Story. As an actor, she’s performed in KXT’s Come Again, Shopfront Art Co-Op’s Pretty Fly for A Dead Guy, and Kitchen Sink Festival’s Horse Play.
